There was no bleeding through the pages. This notebook lays almost completely flat when opened, so you can easily write without any obstructions. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the notebooks.

Used a variety of pens and they do not bleed through the pages, there is some ghosting with some inks, but the pages are nice and thick. Out of the four, the one from minimalism art was the best worth the money, followed by rhodia's notebook. Excellent for writing and journaling.

Used watercolours and the pages and they stood up well to some general art work. The quality is really exceptional, with sturdy. I imagine that when this notebook is filled up with fat pages of art journaling, notes and painting that the elastic will be.

Compared to the more well known and popular leuchtturm 1917 notebook, the minimalism art notebook is about the same thickness but not as wide making it ideal for 1 column to do lists. Like many of the amazon selling brands you can find that certain colors are less expensive than others, the chrome yellow was $9.95 though other colors are slightly more.
