The victoria and albert museum in london will launch its first exhibition in vr dedicated to alice in wonderland. The main character, alice, shared many characteristics with alice liddell, being stubborn, precocious and curious, (although the famous illustration of alice by john tenniel would depart strongly from liddell's brunette bob and short. Spanning art, film, performance, fashion, and photography, the exhibit is nothing if not ambitious.
Curiouser and curiouser will finally make its debut on march 27, 2021 (we hope), and will surely take viewers down a rabbit hole of inspiration and nostalgia. This ‘wonderland’ exhibition is aimed at people of all ages and explores alice’s journey through popular culture. Visitors to the interactive exhibition were invited to climb into the multidimensional artwork and embody the curious spirit of alice on a journey through wonderland. And then along came covid. While entertaining the three liddell sisters, alice, lorina and edith, during a boating trip, dodgson improvised the story that would become alice's adventures in wonderland. Aren't these characters just amazing.
